In 2018, I developed a conceptual fabric collection for a grassroots music venue and bar. Featuring a dynamic range of materials, including vegan leatherettes, velvets, waterproof fabrics, heavyweight cottons, and wallpapers designed for the interior. The samples were intended for the design of the bar’s seating area, walls, and curtains. The print designs drew inspiration from the Dada movement, while the bold color palette utilized striking contrasts to evoke a sense of fun, excitement, and escapism. These deliberately clashing colors are crafted to make a statement, perfectly suited for a dimly lit venue.
